  5. and the Trident II missile. Let's start shipping sports shoes to
  6. the U.S.S.R. Not only will we reduce our trade deficit, but the
  7. Soviets' dispositions will also undoubtedly improve.

  13. accuracy of your story. Years of development and manufacturing in
  14. the U.S. built the foundation for the athletic-shoe industry.
  15. Despite $9 billion in annual retail sales, many of us will not reap
  16. the profits, because we have been displaced by Asian factory
  17. workers.
